As Kain Architects, we approached the Yansı Bolu residence as a structure that quietly harmonizes with its forest surroundings. Originally conceived as a private villa, the building was reinterpreted through a contemporary architectural language that respects both the landscape and the material character of the region.
Our design strategy focused on using climate-responsive, cost-efficient materials and a prefabricated system that allowed the structure to be integrated with minimal impact on the existing terrain. Wide structural spans and transparent surfaces dissolve the boundary between interior and nature, transforming the house into an extension of the forest.
